If you have to justify appointing a contractor to somebody else, this is the page you need. Every credential below is one we hold, with its registration number and its expiry date, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Constructionline Gold

Constructionline is the UK's pre-qualification register for construction suppliers. Gold membership is the level that includes a verified health and safety assessment plus environmental, quality and equal opportunities checks, all assessed against the Common Assessment Standard. For a buyer, that usually means we can be onboarded without running a separate pre-qualification round.
dhf, the Door and Hardware Federation
Membership: Full member

The dhf is the trade body for powered gates, barriers and industrial doors in the UK, and it publishes the code of practice the whole sector works to. Full membership means our work is measured against that code rather than against our own opinion of what is good enough.
SSIP via Once For All
Assessed against: SSIP core criteria, contractor with five or more employees
Valid: 3 March 2026 to 3 March 2027
SSIP, Safety Schemes in Procurement, is the mutual recognition arrangement for health and safety pre-qualification. An assessment through one member scheme is accepted by the others, which saves everybody repeating the same paperwork.
Factory Production Control
Standards: BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 and BS EN 1090-2:2018+A1:2024
Execution class: EXC2, load bearing and welded structural steel components
Certificate: 2273-CPR-4271
Valid to: 21 August 2027
This is the certification that lets us CE and UKCA mark structural steel we make ourselves. It means the way we manufacture load bearing and welded steel is audited by a notified body rather than self declared. Very few gate companies of our size hold it, because most of them do not manufacture.
Why Gold is worth more than it sounds
Most contractors who mention Constructionline are on the standard register. Gold is a different assessment.
It includes a verified health and safety assessment carried out against the Common Assessment Standard, together with checks on environmental management, quality management and equal opportunities. Because it is assessed against that standard, the result is portable: a buyer running a framework or a pre-qualification exercise can usually accept it as it stands rather than sending out their own questionnaire.
For an estates team or a main contractor, that is the difference between appointing us in a week and appointing us in a month.

Testing, and who is responsible for it
Holding credentials is not the same as proving a particular gate is safe. That is a measured test with a written result, and it is a service in its own right.
