Make it yours

Board widths, colours and the way it opens

Every gate is made to the opening you have. These are the choices that change how it looks.

Fully boarded

No gaps between the boards. Choose one of five widths, or mix two.

  • 26mm
  • 65mm
  • 100mm
  • 150mm
  • 200mm

Open boarded

A gap between each board, which can be adjusted to set how much you see through.

  • 38mm
  • 65mm
  • 100mm
  • 150mm

Colours and finishes

The range comes in a wide choice of colours and finishes, so your gate can blend in with the house or stand out from it. Ask us for the full list when we come to measure.

How it opens

The range can be made as a swing, sliding, bi-folding, cantilever, telescopic or radius gate, with a pedestrian gate and fencing to match. We'll help you choose the one that suits your drive.

Why aluminium

Looks sharp, and stays that way

  • It won't rust, rot or warp. Aluminium keeps its shape and its finish with very little upkeep.
  • It's light. A lighter gate means the motor works less hard, which matters on a wide opening.
  • It lines up. The flat-top design sits level with new posts or with the wall you already have.
From survey to working gate
  1. Free site survey

We measure the opening, check the ground and the power, and help you choose a style and a colour.

  2. Made to your opening

Your gate is made to order, to the sizes we measured.

  3. Fitted and automated

Our own engineers fit it, wire it, set the safety devices and test the closing forces.

  4. Looked after

We come back to service it, on a contract or as a one-off.

Common questions

Do aluminium gates rust?

No. Aluminium doesn't rust, and it won't rot or warp the way timber can, so the gate keeps its shape and its finish with very little upkeep. The motors and safety devices are a different matter: like any powered gate, they should be checked and serviced regularly.

Gate servicing and repairs.

Which board widths can I choose?

Fully boarded gates come in 26, 65, 100, 150 and 200mm boards, and two widths can be mixed in the same gate. Open boarded gates come in 38, 65, 100 and 150mm boards, with a gap between each board that can be adjusted to set how much you see through. We'll talk you through how each one looks at the free site survey.

Can I have my house name or number on the gate?

Yes, and there are two ways to do it. A Perspex panel set into the gate can carry your house name or number, either as a panel across the top or as upright panels at the centre of the gate. Or your house name can be set into a fully boarded gate in stainless steel. Both are in the range, under Perspex panels and Stainless steel details.

Can an aluminium gate be a sliding gate?

Yes. The range can be made as a swing, sliding, bi-folding, cantilever, telescopic or radius gate, and you can have a pedestrian gate and fencing to match. Which one suits your drive usually comes down to the space behind and beside the opening and the fall of the ground, so we look at all of that at the free site survey before we recommend one.
