For procurement and estates teams at councils, housing providers, schools and blue light estates. We install and maintain powered gates, traffic barriers, bollards, height restriction barriers, turnstiles and access control, on any make, with the documentation the sector actually asks for.

Why Constructionline Gold is the one that saves you time. It is assessed against the Common Assessment Standard, which is the standard authorities are directed to for construction pre-qualification. It bundles a verified health and safety assessment together with environmental, quality and equal opportunities checks, so in most cases we can be onboarded without a separate pre-qualification round.
How we work on public estates
- Directly employed engineers. Our engineers and core workforce are on our payroll rather than subcontracted, so you know who is attending.
- A documented job report on every visit. What was found, what was done, what remains outstanding. It is the record an estates team needs when a councillor, a tenant or an inspector asks.
- RAMS. Risk assessments and method statements provided for the work before it starts.
- Planned and reactive cover together. Scheduled maintenance across an estate, plus reactive call-outs with same day emergency response where access is blocked or a system is unsafe.
- Any make. We take on estates with a mixture of equipment installed by several contractors over twenty years, which is what a real public estate usually is.
- Safety, evidenced. Force testing to BS EN 12453 and the dhf code of practice, with the readings recorded rather than asserted. gate safety testing and compliance

Frameworks, PQQ and tender documentation
We understand this work is bought through frameworks and portals rather than through a website. If you are pre-qualifying, running a mini-competition, or need our documentation for a submission, ask us directly and we will send the pack rather than asking you to fill in a quote form.
What is in the pack: our four certificates with registration numbers and expiry dates, insurance certificates, health and safety and environmental policies, RAMS templates, and references.
Named contact route: sales@mrgates.co.uk, or ring the office on 01442 506 390 and ask for the commercial team.

Public sector track record
Dacorum Borough Council, under contract since 2014. That contract is the one that moved the business properly into the commercial and public sector, and we still hold it.
Beyond the public sector we work for national waste and infrastructure operators, main contractors and housebuilders, on sites well outside our home counties. Those organisations are named on the projects page.
